I have to let you in on a secret....I love love love to document the joy, tenderness, and love within families of color. As a person of color who is also a photographer, there just aren't enough photos like this out there. Believe me...I have looked. I live for these kinds of sessions. Where the clients sincerely want me to capture family moments. Sure it is nice when everyone is looking at the camera. And yes, I always capture a few of those. But I believe that the best photos are captured in the moment...when a father gives his newborn a gentle kiss on the forehead, or when mom and dad grab a quick smooch while the kids are playing. It's really in those moments that intimacy and the vulnerable side of love exists. And I am so honored that families trust me to capture these honest, beautiful moments for them.
